Purchase & Delivery Policy

1. Introduction.

This Purchase and Delivery Policy outlines the terms and conditions governing the purchase, shipping, and delivery of products ordered through Yalani. By placing an order, you agree to the terms below in addition to our Terms and Conditions and Return & Refund Policy.

2. Ordering Process.

1. Customers can place orders through the Platform by adding items to their shopping cart and completing the checkout process.
2. Once an order is placed, the customer will receive an order confirmation email containing the order details.
3. Orders will only be processed once payment is successfully received through the accepted payment methods displayed at checkout.
4. The Platform reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order suspected of fraud or violation of Platform policies.

3. Payment.

1. Accepted payment methods include mobile money, bank transfer, credit/debit cards.
2. All prices are shown in local currency and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
3. In cases of failed payment or chargebacks, the Platform reserves the right to suspend delivery and/or cancel the order.

4. Delivery Options.

We offer multiple delivery options for your convenience:

1. Standard Delivery: 2–5 business days within major cities.
2. Express Delivery: 1–2 business days (subject to availability and location).
3. Pickup Point/Store Collection: Customers may collect their orders from designated pickup locations.
4. Merchant shops
5. Any of NBS Bank branches across Malawi
6. Any Speed Courier offices across Malawi
7. Delivery at customer doorstep

Delivery timelines may vary based on the product type, merchant location, and courier availability.

5. Delivery Coverage & Fees.

1. Deliveries are available nationwide through our partnered courier companies.
2. Delivery fees are calculated based on destination, package weight, and delivery method selected.
3. Customers will be notified of the delivery cost before confirming the order.
4. Free delivery may apply to selected promotions or minimum order values.

6. Order Tracking.

1. Once shipped, customers will receive an SMS or email notification with a tracking number or delivery status update.
2. Orders can be tracked directly on Yalani under the “My Orders” section or via the courier’s tracking portal.

7. Delivery Attempts & Receipt.

1. Our delivery partners will make up to two (2) attempts to deliver your order.
2. If delivery is unsuccessful, the package will be returned to the warehouse or NBS Bank Branch or merchant and additional fees may apply for redelivery.
3. Customers (or their authorized representatives) must present valid identification and the order number when receiving deliveries.

8. Damaged or Missing Items

1. Customers are strongly advised to inspect the package and its contents in the presence of the delivery agent before signing the delivery note.
2. • If the package appears damaged, do not accept it. If you must accept a damaged package, note the damage on the delivery receipt (e.g., "Box torn, contents not checked").
3. • For missing or incorrect items, or for damage discovered after opening, you must take clear photographs of the packaging and the damaged/incorrect product.
4. • Report the issue to our Customer Support within 48 hours of delivery by emailing info@yalani.com or calling 322, providing your order number and the supporting photographs. Claims reported after 48 hours may not be honored.
5. Replacement or refund will be processed in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy.

9. Delivery Delays

While we strive to meet stated delivery timelines, unforeseen circumstances such as weather, logistical challenges, or supplier delays may cause disruptions.

The Platform will:

1. Notify affected customers of the delay, and
2. Provide revised delivery timelines or alternative options (including refunds if necessary).
